SEM International (SEMi) was founded in 2003 for the purpose of managing international online marketing programs. Initial focus was on the Asian market, successfully removing barriers of entry, establishing industry standard best practices around international online marketing, and developing successful programs for clients in China (Baidu, Google China, 360 Search), Japan (Yahoo JP, Google JP), Korea (Naver, Daum, Google KR) and South East Asia (Google). By 2007, SEMi had expanded into Russia (Yandex, Google Ru) as well as EMEA and Australia, and by 2012 throughout the LATAM region.
Continuously providing global programs with experienced and knowledgeable local marketers, the SEMi group mandate is to assemble customized best-in-breed services for each client. Client service programs are developed to meet the unique goals of each customer. This process embraces a ‘shared-services’ approach to online marketing, and multilingual local support collaboration not just within the group, but also with other service providers who are working with the client.
